Event Coordinator - Full time

Job Description:

The Event Coordinator position plans for meetings, conferences, retreats, and events. This position offers an opportunity to interact with a wide variety of people, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Management of a variety of meetings/programs/retreats per year. This will include monthly meetings with members of Our Lady’s Missionaries of the Eucharist and retreats open to the public.

    • Attendance at some of the above is required, while set-up only is required for others.

  • Manage and utilize program timelines

  • Meet deadlines accordingly

  • Coordinate and communicate with event volunteers

  • Reconcile all final participation data for accurate final attendee report

  • Responsible for post inventory data

  • Assume and perform other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to the position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

  • Events management: 1 year (preferred)

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

  • US work authorization (preferred)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) applications

  • Must be able to work full time. (Full time in this office is ordinarily Mon-Thurs. Exceptions can be necessary on occasion.)

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to converse with all levels of personnel.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently, developing strategies and action plans and implementing goals and objectives.

  • Possesses a working knowledge of the Catholic Church and its internal structure.

  • Ability to work on multiple events simultaneously while retaining a positive attitude, level of accuracy and team spirit.
